As we wrap up the year and look toward 2026, we want to thank you for the kindness, aroha and support that keeps Greenstone Doors moving forward. Your generosity is helping families right across the Hutt Valley find stability, dignity and hope.
This year at the Chanel Family Centre in Upper Hutt we have shared more than 1,200 packs of baby clothing and essentials, welcomed about 200 families at each Free Baby Clothing Day, supported whānau through weekly playgroups, kept our Fruit and Veg Co-op humming and offered counselling and connection to those who needed extra support. More than 700 families are currently active through Greenstone Doors, and your care makes all of this possible.
Two big developments have also taken shape. We opened the Greenstone Doors Counselling Hub in central Lower Hutt, giving easier access to counselling and reducing the load on the Upper Hutt centre. We also began preparing Korowai House, our new Maternal Mental Health Respite Centre in Naenae. Renovations are underway and we are on track for a blessing and opening at Easter 2026. Korowai House will offer day respite, short-term accommodation and a home for our Aunties Programme.
If you would like to help keep these services free and accessible, you can give a one-off donation or set up monthly support.

Thank you for standing with women and whānau across our community. Together we are making a future with hope.
