Evening Prayer and Pizza, Friday 12 December, 6pm

Kia ora koutou,

We are very happy to share an important milestone in the journey of Greenstone Doors. After many months of work, our offer to purchase 194 Naenae Road has been accepted. This property, formerly the presbytery for St Bernadette’s Parish, will become the future home of our Maternal Mental Health Respite and supported accommodation service, opening in April 2026.

This house will give mothers and their babies a warm, safe and peaceful place to breathe, recover and be supported. The support of our community has made this possible. Before we begin refurbishment, we want to pause, give thanks, and prepare ourselves for the next stage of the journey.

Evening Prayer and Pizza

We warmly invite you to join us at the property for a relaxed gathering of prayer, gratitude and connection.

Date: Friday 12 December

Time:

• 6pm refreshments and a look through the house

• 7pm evening prayer and thanksgiving

This is a chance to walk through the space, see the rooms that will be restored, and imagine what this place will offer to women in need of rest, care and hope.

What Comes Next

As shown in our Korowai House overview on page 2 of the attached PDF  , the building will undergo a carefully planned fit out. This includes upgraded bathrooms, new heat pumps, fresh paint, new bedding, improved laundry facilities, space for counselling, house parent accommodation, and a safe outdoor area for a vege garden.

We are inviting friends and supporters to partner with us in this work by contributing items, materials or professional services. Every gift helps us prepare the property for its vital role in supporting women and their whānau.

With blessings,
